User data deletion

You can delete your Panenka AI account and every piece of personal data we hold about you, at any time, free of charge. You can also delete specific parts of your data — your stored bookmaker logins, or your conversation history — without closing your account. We complete full account deletions within 30 days of the request.

Your three levels of control

All three are available directly in the WhatsApp bot, from your registered phone number:

DELETE MY DATA	Closes your Panenka AI account and erases your personal data. The bot asks you to confirm once before anything is touched — this cannot be undone.	Only the anonymized financial records the law requires us to keep (see below).

You can also request deletion by email: send a message from the email address on file (or from any address, mentioning your registered phone number) to privacy@usepanenka.com with the subject "Delete my data".

What a full account deletion covers

• Your Panenka AI account (phone number, country, age confirmation, preferences).
• Your stored bookmaker login credentials and session tokens (encrypted at rest, wiped on deletion).
• Your conversation history with the Panenka AI bot, including context and personalisation memory.
• Your watch and alert subscriptions and notification preferences.

What we are legally required to retain

The only data we keep after deletion is the minimum the law requires. Records of bets we placed on your behalf and bookmaker funding records may be retained for 5 years to comply with gaming, tax, and anti-money-laundering record-keeping in the markets we serve. Before retention, these records are anonymized: your user reference, phone number, names, and refund bank details are scrubbed. The remaining anonymous ledger is isolated, access-restricted, never used for any product purpose, and deleted at the end of the retention period.

Deleting your Panenka AI account does not delete your bookmaker accounts (SportyBet, Bet9ja) — contact each bookmaker directly to close those.

One narrow exception to immediate erasure: when we ban an account because its user is under 18, we delete its personal data immediately and keep only the phone number and the ban reason, so the account cannot be re-created.

If you only want a break

You do not have to delete your account to step away. Send SELF-EXCLUDE to the bot to suspend your own access for a period you choose, or FREEZE MY ACCOUNT to suspend it immediately (for example if your phone is lost). While suspended, the bot will not place bets or process top-ups for you.

Confirmation and timeline

Credential wipes (FORGET MY LOGIN) and conversation clears (CLEAR CHAT) take effect within seconds and the bot confirms in the chat. Full account deletions complete within 30 days; you will receive a WhatsApp message (or email) confirming completion. If we need more time for a specific case (rare), we will tell you why and when to expect completion.
